As a part of our inquiry unit "Is it a Plant?" we took a trip to Riccarton Bush to learn more about our native floral and fauna. Although it was really chilly (it felt like -2 degrees), we were able to explore our local landmark. Marisa from it is to Christchurch. We would like to thank the lovely parents that helped us out this morning and Marisa for sharing her fabulous knowledge of Riccarton Bush with us.

This week in Room 7 we are learning all about Measurement. Here are some photos of us working in mixed ability maths groups and using our skills to explore, measure and create the prefect chair that can fit all of our group's bodies perfectly. It wasn't easy but we managed to do it!
Check out some pictures from our fantastic week we had learning how to ride safely on the road. First off we had a constable come in to teach us the road rules and tell us what we need to ride safely on the road. We then went through a check list to ensure that our bikes were safe enough to go on the road. For the next couple of days we learnt new skills and grew more confident on our bikes ready for the road. On Friday, our last day we were able to go out on the road and use all the skills we had learnt. Thank you Cycle Safety for teaching us!
